A feature film directed by Khương Ngọc, Cục Vàng Của Ngoại explores family, memory and the emotional bond between generations through the everyday life of a small Saigon neighborhood. The fashion direction was developed with a strong sense of character and lived-in realism, using silhouettes, colors and styling details to reflect each character’s age, personality and social context. Rather than treating clothing as a purely visual element, the wardrobe supports the narrative and helps shape the emotional texture of the film, maintaining an authentic, familiar and distinctly Vietnamese sensibility.
